One of my very best friends has been suffering with this for MANY years. It is a very debilitating disease and has changed her life immensely!!!

Please recognize Trigeminal Neuralgia on the "Health Topics" list....because, I've only hit ONE life, & YOU alone could make all the difference in the daily suffering I endure.

My mother has this horrible disease.

I have Bilateral Trigeminal Neuralgia. For yrs I have fought with Drs and Dentists who don't know about trigeminal neuralgia. When I have to go to ER for uncontrollable break thru pain I'm treated like a druggie instead of trying to help me and it's because they don't understand and don't want to.

I have had this for five years now. It makes me very sad to think of young people suffering with this!

I have had this 13 yrs now from DV I left, saved me, 6 brain surgeries he only got 3 days on plea I was asleep when it started,I didn't know he had other assaults but was wealthy & being with someone to the courts is your approval to beat you even when u try to go to court, they gave him a plea with out asking & took my day in court away & they had so much evidence his bloody knuckles my swelling bruised beaten body my 12 year old daughter who heard thru locked bedroom door door & bravely called & was also threatened by him too, I protected her with my body til police arrived, he threatened my life if I told yet I did & -still nothing I Chad my son bcz he stalked us my daughter went to 4 diff H.S. never could keep a friend bcz she knew we would be leaving as soon as he found us again, police did nothing,new stalking laws my ass, maybe after your dead for your kid maybe. He killed me on lay away this suicide disease But got away with 3 days , the pain I suffer sometimes I think had my girl not needed me death would have been better it's an auto felony to hurt a cat or dog in this country. It's a felony to shoplift, but you can beat your spouse near to death it's a misdemeanor! !!!!! Is this the dark ages? I'm stunned woman can vote

I was diagnosed with TN 8 years ago. I had surgery, but within the last year have been experiencing attacks again. I am now on Tegretol and Amitriptyline. This condition is debilitating and scares me every day.

Yes! We need a cure for this horrible disease.25 years of this has affected my life and that of my family something awful.Thank- you for hearing all of us and your help.

I have been dealing with TMJ and migraines for about 40 years and multiple sclerosis for 19 years, now TN decided to join the party about 5 months ago. The pain I've had from TN in the past 5 months is so much worse than all the years of everything else I've been dealing with over the years. Awareness, research, and a cure is needed. No one should ever have to suffer like this.

Research needed Help stop the pain

I have been living with this for 5 years. But, prior to being diagnosed in 2010 at 43yrs oId I had very bad migranes since 1999. I lived with this not knowing they were migranes I thought they were just really bad headaches. I had Dr.s take CT scan of the R, side of my face 5th nerve and have said to have found nothing. I've been in pain and am tired of this. We need a cure, we need Drs that know what they're doing in diagnosing TN. The Medicine that is perscribed to me is nothing but a patch that allows me to have other problems. TN has become a pain in head that people think is all in my head. This is a hope please don't let it die. Alot of people are not aware of this disease lets find a cure. Thank you.

I have had TN for over 7 years. We need to find better treatments. A cure would be astounding!

I am 39yrs old but I have been battling TN since I was 9yrs old. Dr always thought it was Migraines but finally in 2005 a Dr in the ER came back from seeing my MRI and sadly said I'm sorry to tell you that you suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia and so far we have NOT found a cure or why this happens. I have tried almost all pharmaceuticals but to no avail. The only thing that help me on an everyday bases with my pain and discomfort is medicinal cannabis in oil and edibles. We all deserve to live a for filled and happy life but TN is not allowing that to happened with us. Thank you for helping spread the silent news of TN.

Please bring attention to, and find cures for, these horrible disorders.

This is a significantly painful physical problem. My niece has had to take a year of Disability from her job due to this pain. Going to various doctors has not given any satisfaction. None seem to have any answers for this very painful disorder which causes great interruption to a regular job and lifestyle! Please! Address this painful handicapping situation by providing some education and help!
