Trigeminal neuralgia makes living life nothing but hell! It robs a person from functioning and a desire to live, let alone the lack of awareness and understanding in medical field which treats many sufferers as nothing but people seeking pain meds. Personally, I was labelled an addict when the pain meds administered in a hospital didn't touch the pain until I was put on a very strong opiod iv for several days to finally break an extremely severe few days of pain. Their ignorance of TN has labelled me forever in this area as an addict. Ignorance further robs we sufferers of necessary care and totally unnecessary labels.
