I was the Executive Director of the Birmingham Baptist Association at the time of this tragic taking of a young minister’s life. His death affected the lives not only of his family but the church he served, the association of churches in the metro Birmingham area and the community as well. This felon should never be allowed back in society. He sought to burglarize a church and rather than run when he was discovered he intentionally took a life.

I remember this as if it was yesterday. This man took Brian's life for nothing. He could have not shot him twice on that morning but his heart wanted to kill, so he killed Brian. Now, he needs to continue to pay the price for his actions and in my opinion his being in prison is not harsh enough. It should have been a life for a life. NO parole!
