Marijuana is legal in Colorado, so people vacationing here should get with the program. As a Summit County full time resident, I oppose forcing dispensaries to move locations to suit tourists.

This business needs to be treated like every other liquor store/bar on main st! Survived 5 years with no problems and don't see why all of sudden with legalization it's now a problem. If anything business around are getting more business because of BCC

I am in full support of recreational marijuana shops in Breck and voted accordingly. However, I do not believe these stores should be located in our historic main street corridor. Working in the customer service industry, I have heard many, many concerns from our critical visitors that they are not comfortable with these businesses being on Main St. whether upstairs or not. Their comments may be influenced by them having children, and then may not. The Breck Cannabis Club will not be "kicked out." BCC will continue to turn a hefty profit on Airport Road, along with the other two (in my opinion) much more professional businesses that are thriving there now. Take politics out of this and really consider what our visitors- our lifeblood- think about this. No liquor stores on Main street- no pot shops on Main Street.

There is no reason that a business that has been downtown for 5 years should have to leave. Limiting the amount that are allowed downtown is understandable. But kicking out a local established business that has created no problems is completely rediculous and wrong.

Banning recreational marijuana from main strees is nonsense. The Breckenridge cannabis club has been in their location for 5 years, they have caused no harm to anyone. If anything it's nice to have a rec store in town, if tourist so happen to want a joint why should they have to go out to airport road to buy it? There's the locals market and liquor store on the corner of Wellington and Main street. If you're allowed to buy liquor on main street why not pot?

If we can close down main street several time every year for drunk fests, what harm will a couple of cannabis shops cause? It's about time we close main street for a 4/20 fest!

wow! some opponents to pot on main st have turned this discussion a bit on the ugly side, questioning the integrity of council members who voted for this new ordinance and going so far as threatening one of their jobs! that feels like dirty politics to me. this business owner says he's afraid it will hurt his well established business yet threatens the job of a single mother who was duly elected by voters in Breck. It would seem that she is not working for the Summit Foundation when she is voting on council matters and representing her constituents. As Tim Faust pointed out in a letter to the editor, Breck council decided to make possession of under an ounce legal in town several years ago.Summit County voted to legalize it. Minds are like parachutes: they only function when OPEN.

Tourists come to Breckenridge for a variety of reasons... and that includes retail marijuana. Main Street offers a convenient location to locals and tourists alike. "No MJ on MS" is hypocritical and discriminatory when alcohol consumption is encouraged in Town Events. "420-Fest" anyone?

I've been a bartender for 6 years and I also worked at a retail shop. I feel if there can be bars on main street then a retail shop should be allowed as well. I've seen the affects of alcohol on people and towns and it's allot worse than any affects I've seen marijuana have.
