Seeing this community grow makes me truly believe that Jim Hawkins could finally get the follow up story he deserves. The momentum we have right now proves that our childhood favorite is far from forgotten by the studio.

Watching this list grow reminds me why Jim Hawkins and his story still mean so much to all of us. Let's push hard to get this past one hundred signatures right now so we can finally show the studio that this dream is worth pursuing.

I know Disney had stated to make a second movie that was supposed to be followed by a tv series. I know they stopped because the movie wasn't a big hit. But there are so many people today that love this movie. Including me. So why not continue to make the second movie.
The first one was great, I hear it did not do well in the box office, but that's probably because people thought it would just be the same treasure island story but in space. when really it has a great story of its own.

I watched treasure planet as a child and has been my favorite movie ever since. I watched it today with my son and got emotional just thinking about how much joy the movie brings me and my son. So I’m signing this petition today in hopes that my son and I can share the experience of watching another part of our beloved movie together for the first time.
