Treasure Planet is such a wonderful movie, and it would be awesome to see a sequel--there's certainly plenty of potential for it! I've talked to other people who love it, too, and I think a second movie could find an audience. I'd even be happy with a direct-to-video thing if that was more cost effective.

Treasure Planet was just ahead of its time when it was released. If a sequel was made in today's time, it would do fantastic at the box office!!

Treasure Planet may have been a box office flop. However, it has grown into a cult classic. Everyone I know that has seen the movie puts it on their top 5 list, save for one person. But she hates Disney movies in general. My point is the people are longing for the movie now more then ever. Just look at the size of the fandom. How many people make AMVs for it now? Spread the word. Get signatures for this. And don't stop at the movie. They also planed to make a TV series as well. Lets make the executives of Disney see how much this movie means to us.

Imagine a treasure planet 2 about Jim's dad. He can somehow be in a crew after something that Jim is also after and his dad chooses his son or the life long goal he has been searching for.
