My vision is the same as when I bought property on TI - keep the small town ambiance.

Progress is great, but to increase the desity to those numbers at Johns Pass would spoil the views and create many traffic issues. The existing rules are fine and I see no reason to change them. What it shows me is that money, if theres enough, will buy anything.

Sure they knew. And they also knew they had a shot to vastly increase the properties profitability by getting a density increase and zoning change. So they're taking their shot. I hope they loose big time...but what is to stop them (or another developer) from playing this game again and again? I think there needs to be a longer term plan to prevent that. Otherwise you fine people will be fighting a never ending battle, and money and power will eventually prevail.

While not a resident of Treasure Island, I appreciate the "smaller town" atmosphere and would like Treasure Island to remain a "mom and pop" destination.

City officials should be looking out for what's in the best interest for the residents of Treasure Island - Not a Developer who has no real intention other than making money without any regards to the negative impact such a development will have on the quality of life to the residents of Treasure Island.

NO increase in building height limits. NO increase in population density limits. Save beautiful Treasure Island and Kingfish Park! Let's keep our existing limits on building height and population density to avoid overcrowding and negative impact to our environment (manatees, dolphins)!

we all enjoy the historic feeling of treasure island including the mom and pop hotels and restaurants.Adding high rise devopments only adds to overcrowding, traffic jams, reduced evacuation routes and impact on environment. Save Treasure Island and kingfish park!
