They take such good care of animals and there place is not near any homes. Please let them continue to keep animals safe.

SAFE is an excellent neighbor and has a great partnership with TB volunteers. Please work with them--- and their great number of TB supporters on the zoning issues so that they can stay.

Too many good hard working people donate substantial time and money for such a worthwhile cause to let small technicallities get in the way.

SAFE is a much-needed organization, sorry to say. We adopted a dog from SAFE this January. Two of my neighbors have done the same this year.
We support the variance!

We support the variance. If noise truly is the issue, one would have to ask "why live by A1A" or "why live by the ocean?"
As suggested, steps can be taken to limit the noise.
SAFE is a good organization and has been a great neighbor all these years.

Former resident of Treasure Beach but very familiar with the S.A.F.E. organization.
I see no reason not to approve the requested variance allowing SAFE to board pets overnight.
Any issues regarding neighbors affected by barking/noise levels must be minimal given the proximity of homes close to the building. Taking those neighbors concerns into account, surely we could resolve complaints, if any, with additional soundproofing or maybe even something simple such as leaving music on for the animals at night.
Bottom line, the pros of S.A.F.E. being allowed to continue boarding abandoned & neglected animals far outweigh the cons. We are lucky to have them in the community and the St. Augustine area.
SAFE is providing a valuable service!
