Essential travel is the key word, if it is work related it is essential, if it is for leisure it is not essential

Our ferry companies are the only ones in the UK not to have restrictions .This petition is for essential travel only so as you are a key worker you will be ok. People are still travelling here and the ferries will not stop them.

Please keep holidaymakers away! We haven’t got the medical facilities here to support more people. It would be ludicrous to allow more people to come here at the present time.

Red funnel seem to be allowing anyone over saw loads on Wednesday cars with kids and bedding. spoke to lady on fairway campsite said shes on holiday from London to get away from what's going on save our island and think of residents st Mary's will not cope with

There are people still coming to the island to their 2nd home we only have 1 hospital and there is a lot of elderly people living on the island that will need care so please stop these people who don't live here coming here

So you want freight only? How are NHS staff going to go to work? How about the carers? How about me? By the way I'm a Trauma Care expert. I clean up after the dead from suicides, stabbings etc. I live on the island but much of my work is on the mainland and I need to be able to travel across as my work is essential. So you should rename your petition to essential travel only. I was on the Wightlink ferry this morning and there where only workers, single occupied vehicles there so starting this is nothing but a load of crap putting more pressure on the likes of us who need to get back and forth. Stop the holiday home owners from coming yes, but leave any one who has to travel for work alone.

Being an island we are in an enviable position to control who is allowed to travel here during this very difficult time. The ferry companies need the power to implement this.

We would be a great control to see if limiting visitors n freight only on ferries would work at diminishing numbers of C19. Look at Guernsey and Gibraltar!
