It can take up to 30 hours for one person to travel all the way through Chicago. So the government thinks the solution is to build train tracks on Route 52 in Sheridan, IL, and take away farmland, jobs, homes, and the calmness of the farming community that surrounds them.

The new tracks going in, would cause a lot of unwanted commotion, pollution, and a loss of privacy for the people living around the train tracks. The people living in this area, do not want all that commotion from the train. Considering that almost everybody in these towns have either grown up, or are raising children growing up around rural areas. Many people move out to the country to get away from all of the noisy disturbances a city brings, including a train.

The new train tracks also take away many farmer's way of bringing in money. Farmer's can not afford to lose their farmland, due to the fact that it is the main income they get and they use that money to feed their families. Putting in these train tracks would take that away, forcing farmers to sell their farmland, and to find a different way of bringing in money,
