The constant noise at all hours of the night is ridiculous! It sounds like the roar of freeway traffic at 2am. I can hear the beeping of trucks backing up while I’m trying to sleep. The different smells I get while walking outside can’t be good!

Tranz Werk has created a condition that substantially interferes with the use and enjoyment of our land by causing unreasonable discomfort and annoyance to persons of ordinary sensibilities. Under Texas jurisprudence regarding nuisance, Tranz Werk should be held liable for interference with the use and enjoyment of real property.

This company's operations interferes with the enjoyment of my property. Any soot and/or odors should not be leaving the confines of their property, which it obviously does.

This place is directly behind our house and I can see the piles of rubble from my backyard, not a pretty sight and certainly not a selling point. I can't sit in my backyard on a nice day and enjoy the peace and quiet, because there isn't any. Tranz Werk is disturbing the peace from sunup to sundown (or later), six days a week. Then there's the soot that comes from that place that settles on everything from our windows to our cars and I can only imagine what it does to our lungs. We've lived here since 1982 and have put up with this noisy eyesore long enough. I hope that finally something can be done about it.

I live and in Candlelight Estates, two neighborhoods away from this business. I purchased my home in 1999. I can hear the noise when I'm outside at all hours of the day and night. I have even heard it inside my home at times. Please stop the madness!

Someone should look into what chemicals are being handled over there to see if there are any carcinogens being released into the air. Also point out its proximity to a low income neighborhood. Those two things will get the politicians jumping all over it.

When I moved into my home in Candlelight Place in June 2008, it was a nice, quiet neighborhood. Tranzwerk was not in operation then and the property was basically empty. I retired and looked forward to spending time in my backyard and patio. Then Tranzwerk began operations. The noise level has become so intolerable on a daily basis that I cannot enjoy spending time outside. It is so excessively loud that I hear crashing, banging and machines squealing inside my home with all windows and doors closed. This facility is negatively impacting my and our neighborhoods quality of life. Numerous calls by neighbors to HPD's enforcement group responsible for recycling yards are going unheaded. Respectfully, we need help from the mayor's office and city council to address our concerns concerning Tranzwerk's operations as outlined in this petition.

In addition to the issues mentioned in the petition, this company works at all hours of the day. I have heard them banging metal as late as midnight, and when I wake up before 6 in the morning, they are already making noise. I have called the police on them a few times, but basically gave up because nothing changed.
