Like many gamers -especially sports gamers - I tend to play for extended amounts of time every now and then. As video games are making the move to high definition, particularly the 360 and upcoming PS3, developers aren\'t paying close enough attention. Plasma displays, arguably the most popular flat panel, display these HD games in all their glory, but with image retention issues, this can be a problem. Sports games, like Madden, NCAA, and NBA Live, are some of the biggest culprits as their score boards leave behind nasty images. I hoped - prayed - that the 07 versions of EA\'s popular games would be plasma friendly, but alas, they are not. What\'s worse is that Madden 06 HAD a transparent score board, and now it\'s gone. While image retention is not permanent, it is a nuisance that spoils the fun and can easily be avoided by the developer. Here\'s hoping for a LIVE update or at the very least, transparent score boards going forward. Thanks for reading this!
I have been spending my evenings staring at the ghost images burned into my screen and it only reminds me why this change is necessary. I am currently reaching out to developers to explain that their design choices are actively damaging the equipment we use to enjoy their work.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels unreal. My television is still showing those ghost images from last night but knowing so many of you feel the same way makes this fight worth it.
