The Town indicated at the November Council meeting that it would release the budget 2 days before the budget meeting. It has now reneged on that. It would have been good to have their promise recorded. Not a great moment for transparency.

This transparency and accessibility will have many positive effects for the Town, and will serve to help maintain a vibrant and engaged community. This can be achieved easily and cheaply.

For more than 2 years I have been urging council to begin live webcasting its monthly meetings - all to no avail. It's about time we take action.

thank you for suggesting this Norbert. Residents certainly want to be part of the conversation and with busy careers,families and for some the inability to get to meetings, electronic media is the way for residents to be informed about activities and decisions of the town council.
Congrats to team. All your hard work is appreciated.

In the age of the internet and eGovernment, it doesn't make sense to have to go in person to the council meetings to stay informed.
For the sake of transparency, MOwesteners should be kept informed through electronic media.

The citizens of Montreal-West are not kept informed of the financial situation of our town and it is very bleak.
Mr. Mayor please tell the citizens of our town the truth about our finances!
