With this petition, we would like to get more transparency into the selection process in Adv Honors for students in North Edison middle schools.
As of now, it appears that the selection is done before all the pre-requisites are available. In addition, some of the results that go into selection are not made available to students/parents leaving them wondering what went missing.
The selection process/criteria need to be well defined and the results need to be transparent.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum behind this request. It is clearly all of you who are pushing this conversation forward because I surely did not expect such a response.

My kid was skipped over and no one can tell me why. We deserve to know how these decisions are made. Needs way more clarity.
They are making it tougher and tougher for kids. Kids at elementary level are expected to know math 2-3 grades higher. It is ridiculous

Childers brain is not developed till age 16, and the school is deciding how smart the child is in 4th or 5th gr . if our teachers have done this imagine how Many inventors , engineers , doctors , ect. would never have had a chance :(. ... that's what is going to happen when the child thinks he/ she is not smart to learn more :(
