I am from Tulelake , Ca. My father was one of the homesteaders. I have watched the Federal and State government decimate the farmland AND refuges by not honoring their agreements with Klamath Basin farmers. They have removed dams with negative effect on fish, cheap power generation.

The Federal Government is attempting to take away livelihoods and thereby sustenance from American families. This is not what was promised and legalized when homesteads of the 1930-40’s were purposely established to provide jobs for families after the Great Depression, and especially for veterans who fought for our country’s freedom in WWII. This is an illegal travesty beyond comprehension. Who are the Feds protecting if not the America WE as citizens and those before us built?

My four fathers established their Homesteads in the late 1800. They fought our world’s wars. And they worked the land to provide for their families. our government now needs to come through and finish their promise. To provide the well deserved Water rights in the Klamath basin.

Klamath Farmers have always needed help. Why the Federal Government can't do their job is beyond me. Farmers are going bankrupt. These are true Americans. You have money for every body else, why not the American Farmer?

Because I live in the basin and watch the farmers and ranchers suffer every time they shut the water off. I drive through and see the fields they end up flooding because the lake doesn't have room.
