Hello! My name is Dylan Rodriguez, and I am a trans teen. My school has not yet given me permission to use the boys restroom, despite discussing it with me. I've realized that a lot of schools do not even discuss this issue with their trans students as my school has. This has affected me more than I thought. Due to the dysphoria of using the female restroom, I don't even want to go to school anymore.
Many other trans students feel the same way I do. I understand that other students are not comfortable or okay with this. However, as a trans kid, I can say that the only reason for me to use the restroom is to pee, not to look at other boy's private areas. I want to make it legal for transgender students all across America to be able to use the bathroom they are most comfortable with.
What is in my pants is not your concern, but my own.

I AM ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY BY THIS MOMENTUM!! SEEING SO MANY PEOPLE AGREE THAT WE DESERVE BASIC HUMAN DIGNITY AT SCHOOL IS BEYOND INCREDIBLE!! THIS FIRE IS GROWING AND I AM SO PROUD OF US FOR KEEPING THE PRESSURE ON!!

I hope this makes it. My school also doesn't let me use the boys. Yesterday was the first time I've used the bathroom in my highschool. I just want to be comfortable.
I support Dylan all the way and all Trans Children. It’s a hole in the ground where we put our waste. It should be okay at school.
I never thought about how it feels to use a bathroom you aren't comfortable with. I wish for everyone to be comfortable
They can also install unisex bathrooms as an alternative. That's what some universities and restaurants have in place. Good luck! Xoxox

I was just telling your mom how proud I am of you. There are adults who do not advocate for themselves. The best thing anyone can do is stand for themselves and demand to be seen. Even if our voices and/or legs are shaky we must stand up and speak up. We can't let people make us invisible. I wish I had your courage at your age. Amazing!!!
