PETALING JAYA: Just two weeks after the brutal bashing of a dog in Puchong, another case of violence against a canine has surfaced, this time committed by a dog trainer.

A video of a dog trainer kicking another participant’s dog in what appears to be a dog show has been circulating on social media.

In the video that is just under a minute and a half long, a group of dog trainers is seen standing in line by their dogs as part of an obedience test.

An order is given for the participants to leave their dogs, at which point they make their way off screen, leaving their dogs sitting in their original positions.

However, things get rowdy the moment the trainers are gone as two dogs almost immediately get into a fight.

The trainer of one of the two tussling dogs is then seen walking up to them and proceeds to kick the other dog.

Pulling his dog away from the other, the man continues to kick at the dog as some of the spectators are audibly riled up by his actions.

Another man then picks up his dog and carries it away.

This follows as other trainers enter the scene and drag off the other dogs that had run into the fray.

Updates

The footage of this trainer abusing a dog at the trial is disgraceful and we are currently preparing a formal complaint to the governing body of the event. Go to the official Facebook page for the show and demand they revoke the trainer license of the person responsible. Send an email to the show coordinators today to let them know that violence against animals is never an acceptable training method.

The response to this video has been overwhelming and shows that people will not tolerate violence disguised as pet training. Post the link to your Facebook feed right now and text it to three friends to keep the pressure mounting. Email your local representative today to demand a full investigation into this trainer.

Detestable behavior by the owner of the GSD, instead of being worried for the safety of the border collie who is a much smaller dog , he then proceeds to kick the other border collie who was basically defending itself instinctively ... such behavior deserves a suspension

He should be terminated from all MKA activities and no trading of pets nor approval of certs given. This is totally absurd

It's like slapping other people's kid when your kid is fighting with another kid. Trainer should train his own dog to behave, not kicking other dog and at the end says that you're protecting your dog. TRAINER SHOULD BE BANNED

His action clearly shown that he is not qualify as a trainer. Yet given a lot of excuse. "His dog is baby, others dog not baby?" Who dare to send their "babies" to the trainer?

Kicking a dog to stop a dog fight has never been encouraged by any dog handlers or trainers out there. All methods listed do not recommend use of force as it would only aggravate and make the situation even more tense and worse for the aggressor.

He should apologise to all dog lovers publicly for his wrong action behaviour and promise not to behave like this anymore with truthful heart.
