"We, the concerned residents of Allegheny County, petition the city to make the strip district a safer place for pedestrians. Over the past 6 months, numerous people have been hit by reckless drivers speeding through the busiest streets of the Strip District (Smallman Street, Penn Avenue, and Liberty Avenue). We as taxpaying citizens should not have to worry about risking our lives to cross the street to go to work. Some type of traffic control needs to be implemented immediately on each and every one of these roads, before another innocent victim gets hurts or dies."
