We don't need a tragedy before making our roads safer for all.

Twenty years ago my mother's car was hit at the 9W - Oak Tree Road intersection. It was dangerous then and has not improved.

Lives have been lost here, and lost could be saved--with common sense safety additions.
Please take these steps to protect ALL citizens in our community--motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

I have called 911 more times than I care to remember from my home on the corner of Oak Tree Road and Route 340. The most upsetting incident of all involved a school bus. It is imperative that measures be taken to ensure the safety of those in our community, especially our children!

These are reasonable and absolutely necessary actions that need to be taken. So many near (and not-near accidents could be avoided). The delayed green will save someones life someday. As will moving the No Turn on Red sign. Please take our concerns seriously and make these changes. I live on Heyhoe Woods Rd in Palisades, NY.

The intersection of Oak Tree Rd and Route 9W has been the scene of at least three tragic pedestrian/car deaths in recent years, including both adults and children. Please address this problem. Thank you.

I strongly agree that the 9W Palisades corridor has become dangerous and anarchic and that there are reasonable and relatively inexpensive solutions to the problems.

I have been to numerous meetings regarding the dangerous traffic conditions in the Palisades RT.9W/Oak Tree Road area. I have been nearly run over in front of the Palisades post office on several occasions & I look forward to the day when I can make a left or right turn onto Oak Tree Road from Closter road & not nearly be broadsided by drivers going way above the designated speed limit as they charge off Rt. 9W.
I was born in Rockland County; I am 64 years old and my bucket list includes:
1: seeing these changes made before I have been hit by a car OR 2: before I am way too old to drive !!
Listen to us! We live here - we know the reality!

Respect the cyclist and appreciate their business in our River communities,BUT would REALLY appreciate if they didn't run red lights, and obeyed traffic laws.
