Petition for Traffic Light Placement at the Intersection of South Cloverdale Avenue & West 6th Street

There have been many accidents At this intersection and this would be a great preventive measure.

I live on Cloverdale between 4th and 6th, so I HAVE to deal with this intersection whenever I drive, and without a light of course it's dangerous. No one pays attention to the right turn only sign because it's ridiculous. Those who work to the east cannot be expected to waste time driving around the block to be able to make a left. And with the median installed at Wilshire for at least another month, the ability to drive east is extremely limited any other way. Further, there are many businesses on Cloverdale south of Wilshire that I visit all the time (New Image dry cleaner, Cloverdale Skin and Nails, Spare Tire, etc.) where it doesn't make sense to walk around to Cochran or Detroit. The bus stop on Cloverdale and Wilshire made me adept at crossing that intersection, but every day is a new adventure. A traffic light will ensure the safety of everyone who drives/bikes/walks through. Thank you

ABSOLUTELY. This intersection is DANGEROUS for motorists and pedestrians alike. Could also use a "DO NOT BLOCK" designation.

Please consider putting a traffic light or All-way stop signs at the intersection of 6th Street and Cloverdale Ave. (90036). There are accidents there almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day. This is not an exaggeration.

The number of accidents that occur here is alarming. I've lived here for six years, & the incidences are almost weekly!!

I live right on the corner of this intersection, and there is an accident here on a weekly basis. Cars ignore the right only turn lane going south on Cloverdale, Cars speed through this intersection to try and catch green lights between Cochran and La Brea, People cross 6th St, and there's no crosswalk. At night and during the middle of the day the right lane becomes a parking lane, and parked cars get hit constantly from speeding cars trying to get in front of slower cars and running out of passing space. A stoplight would SOLVE all of these problems and free emergency services for other areas.

There has been countless accidents and both pedestrian and animal collisions at this intersection. I live directly on this corner and I am constantly reminded of the unsafety of even crossing the street. As a resident of 6 years in this location, I urge you to do the right thing and save lives by placing a stop light.

I was in an accident there yesterday, because someone illegally tried to to drive strait through on a right turn only intersection. We were in an Uber, so I didn't even see it coming because I was on my phone. We spun, and hit a truck in oncoming traffic. Please pass this along so we can make that section safe for everyone!

An accident yesterday in fact! Blocked intersection at all hours of the day, when people would like to turn onto the street they live on. Not only that but cars speed down Cloverdale like it's a freeway.

Also traffic going the wrong way down Cloverdale Avenue. North to South. Very dangerous.

This is an extremely dangerous intersection and it is only a matter of time before there is a fatality or perhaps multiple.

Or at least a stop sign!
