Something needs to be done about parking as well! I live in one of the roads 2 minutes away from the school. Which at half 2 till half 3 now turns into a school car park! it is also dangerous when pulling out the road onto may lane as so many cars block views. School car park needs to re opened!

This situation needs to be addressed asap. Drivers are mounting pavements and speeding along this road. Now the nights are drawing in, there's no way that small children are going to be spotted by drivers who are more interested in getting to their destination than they are in our childrens safety. This is an accident waiting to happen.

May Lane needs looking at too, it's a zone where bad parking, bad driving & children are a recipe for disaster. Do something before a life is ruined or worse still, taken!

Please, please address this petition - this has become a very dangerous road to not only cross but to walk along with drivers regularly mounting pavements to avoid waiting especially at high volume traffic times such a school drop off/pick up when children are around. It is a matter of time before a child is knocked down.

Can I just point out that it is on the whole the school children's parents that cause the chaos. A pelican crossing is a must. Speed bumps etc will not resolve the situation. As a resident of Shawhurst Lane and noting comments from other local residents a little respect would go a long way. It is shameful that the Council take such a poor view of concerned members of the public. The Headmasters of both schools need to get behind this petition.

Pedestrian crossings required outside both schools. Pupils at Woodrush in particular take risks crossing the road opposite the school as they have to negotiate traffic turning in and out of Beaudesert Road and pulling in and out of the bus drop off zone immediately outside the school. A crossing is also required on Hollywood Lane by the jet garage as a number of pupils who live in Majors Green have to cross this busy road on their walk home. Speed restrictions and traffic calming is also required on Truemans Heath Lane as this is currently National Speed limits and the footpath is very narrow in parts. Quite recently a friend of my daughters was nearly involved in an accident between 2 vehicles as she walked to school a couple of weeks ago. The road was very icy and one of the cars turned over. If the council want more children to walk to school then conditions need to be made safer.

I am a parent of a coppice child and i also work as a registered childminder who has the responsibility dropping off & the collection of 4 children who also attend the school.Every day is a worry as i risk asses how we will get to school safely due to the increase in traffic and the danger the children are in from simply walking on the pavement.
