We desperately need speed bumps in Willow Terrace as traffic speeds along here using this as a through route avoiding King St which has speed bumps.

Speed bumps need to be installed in Aloe Street, Willow Terrace and Sanctuary Lane - motorists use this route to bypass the existing speed-bumps in Sunnyside Avenue and King Street. They speed around corners and do not stop at stop streets.
The Drive (and feeder streets) also needs a lot more speed bumps to slow traffic down due to the pedestrians, cyclists, etc. that use that area for recreation.

unfortunately the roads belong to the Council - unless we buy the roads from Council (at considerable cost) AND maintain the roads, lights, etc ourselves we are not allowed to stop anyone entering - with enough traffic calming measures we can hopefully dissuade many who roar through here at great speeds!

The reason for the consistent damage to the booms is the volume of traffic using Lakefield as a thoroughfare. If this can be restricted in any way the Lakefield enclosure infrastructure will incur less maintenance expence

We do try and prosecute those who damage booms - sadly many who have done the damage are skadonk drivers and cars without insurance - generally the damage is by outsiders ALTHOUGH there are a few skanky residents who have caused damage and refuse to pay! We cannot afford the litigation fees to pursue it. We have thought of naming and shaming them though :) AND a few good ones do pay! But there are delays while booms are up and we get complaints for that - actually - hard to win!!! Amazingly we keep going!
