Introduce Traffic Calming Measures around Penge East

I live in SE22, but used to work in Penge/Beckenham and hope that the local council will take their obligations on road safety as applying to pedestrians and cyclists seriously and not just support motorists.

That junction is a difficult one for pedestrians. There is no safe place to cross.

Live in Hardings Lane. Parish Lane is v busy and cars drive too fast

And add some on green lane too!

I used to live in Lennard Road,I know exactly how dangerous that road is.

We regularly walk our twin babies in this area and feel there are far too many drivers racing up and down Lennard Rd. It does not feel safe crossing roads.

This is a dangerous junction with blind corners.

This is a very serious issue in the area. There are a number of additional places in Penge where this is a huge problem. Please also add Thicket Road and Crystal Palace Park Rd/Penge High Street to the list. Speed cameras that issue fines, with the funds returned to CP Park, would be a win-win for everyone except the lawbreakers.

The speeds down parish lane are ridiculous as vehicles rat run to avoid the slower sydenham and penge high streets.

I lived in Lennard Road in the 50's 60's 70's Always many accidents then, junction of Parish Lane & Lennard Road a nightmare to cross for pedestrians, Also with Alexandra Recreation ground on this road there is always plenty of children & families trying to cross the roads.

Drivers go far too fast along Parish Lane. It seems to be used as a rat run to avoid the traffic on the high street. Far too dangerous-20 mph speed limit and traffic calming measures required to reduce the risk and to save future lives.

the road needs more done to ensure drivers drive slower.... we have lost enough life's please make this happen

I totally agree speeding has increased dramatically in the last year. Young lads with motor bikes doing wheelies no helmets stolen cars. Bromley Council get your act together before other people lose their lives

I had have about 15 near misses in my car as people pull out to fast and do not pay attention to the giveway lines. I have been nearly run over twice while walking across the road. It's time to put traffic lights or traffic calming measures in place.

It's a race track the whole area, Leonard and Cator Road too many parked cars, too many children walking to school, too many people in a rush

Local residents have tried many times over the years to persuade Bromley council and the police to install traffic calming measures at this junction. The response was always the same: there are more dangerous junctions in London. Perhaps now they will listen.

As a driver I always avoid this junction if wanting to turn right (from Parish Lane) onto Lennard Road for the reasons stated. I go a longer way round. It is difficult to see, buses often stopped with overtaking traffic, people speeding on Lennard Road, pedestrians coming out through parked cars etc. As a pedestrian I taught my children to walk home from Alexandra school on the Park side to avoid crossing here to get to Penge East.

I live on Venner road and use this section of road as a driver or pedestrian daily. The junction of parish lane onto Lennard road is particularly dangerous. As a community we have used fix mystreet and various other means to ask Bromley to help. We have been fobbed off or ignored. Please make this section of road safe for all.
