Traditional Graduation ceremony for Germantown highschool seniors at a later date

I think we should do BOTH. Give our kids their diploma on June 6th/7th in the Drive-Thru fashion, just in case there's a second wave, then they at least got their diplomas and are officially graduated. AND Then have a Real Graduation Ceremony with all the bells and whistles after June 30th, which is when the Washington County Health Department said it would be okay. These kids have lost enough, please don't take away their graduation ceremony too! Or have it in another County now.

Please consider Miller Park or other larger venues.

This is an important mile stone for these graduates. Please help them experience it in person at a later date.

A drive-through graduation is hardly a Celebration, as you refer to it ! The Stay-at-Home order has been lifted! Please schedule a date and let us make our own choice whether to attend! I am very surprised that the survey did not have a majority voting yes to June 6 or 7. But regardless, there are a number of good alternatives to June 6/7. (a drive-thru is NOT a good alternative!) Such as: 1. Pick a date in early or mid July 2. Hold the ceremony at a larger location - perhaps the football field? 3. Split the ceremony into 2 smaller groups (not my fav suggestion but better than drive-thru) 4. Don't shake hands. Nod or salute or applaud. 5. The presenter can wear gloves and a mask. The student can make their own choice. Your drive-thru solution is very cruel. We have been waiting 18 years for this day! Graduation pictures are a keepsake that parents and kids will cherish... don't take that away from us! You already cut back on the number of attendees. We have this huge new fieldhouse that the taxpayers voted yes for. Let's use it or find a spot outside! Our kids deserve this!!! (The we're all in this together' sign was not a substitute for a real ceremony).

Miller Park is available for Graduations- Franklin, DSHA, and Oak Creek to name a few are all having their graduations there. Would like to see the Board put more effort into sourcing out other options for a graduation- Perhaps none of the Board Members have a graduating Senior this year?

We can wait! Don’t limit us to something lame when every other student before this year got a real graduation!

Jinkies. Binkies. Boobies. Bop. The online graduation will be a flop.

I’ve heard of at least three other schools that have delayed graduation to July, I think that’s more appropriate

These young adults need an opportunity to experience a normal ceremony .

I don’t even live in the district and feel they need a normal graduation. West bend sent out two dates. Of course they won’t work for everyone but at least they tried a d our kids are having a traditional ceremony. Shame on gtown!!!!

Drive thru graduation? NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Do the right thing. They deserve more than this. Many other districts have found a way and you owe it to these kids to put something together

Other local schools are doing more for their graduation class of 2020! There is other things that you can do and yet be safe!! Look at Homestead what they are doing! Get going !! I blame the school board for dragging their feet!! Seriously how disappointing for our SENIORS!!

When the school has officially proven to not care about it's student. Even Menomonee Falls has a better plan than we do, so sad.

I’m hoping the School District leaders will reconsider and outdoor distancing ceremony. It’s been done by other large high schools.

Our kids have already lost so much and to take their graduation away is horrible. All surrounding high schools are finding a way to give their kids a proper graduation even if it means they need to put a little more effort into planning it. Our kids have worked so hard and deserve a proper graduation. My child will not be participating in the virtual drive thru ceremony as it is a waste of our time. He deserves to walk across the stage and receive his diploma just like every other Germantown graduate over the years.
