The co-op building is a fairly new store, completed in 2012, so the facility/equipment/etc are in working order and ready to use. The city of Boston just released a Transportation Action Plan. The map on page 11 (co-op is at lower left corner: https://goo.gl/orDovf ) outlines all the new housing within 2 miles of this location - over 2000 units are in the works or complete, in addition to the large existing population here in Jamaica Plain/Roslindale - there are plenty of TJs shoppers here who don't want to have to drive to Brookline's or other TJs!
NONE of the new developments here are creating retail space big enough for a grocery store, which is desperately needed at this end of Jamaica Plain/Roslindale, especially with the loss of the co-op and all these new units coming online. This location is next to a busy T station, has a parking lot, and is in walking/biking distance from many, many residences. This is a rare opportunity to get into a good space before everything else is built-out too small for a grocery store. Please consider. THANK YOU!

Bring it on! Competition is good. Maybe having Joe's in the neighborhood would force Whole Foods to lower its prices.

Several of our friends have already written Trader Joe's: it would be a waste if they did not take the space.
