One hundred people have signed this and I am honestly exhausted by the uphill climb ahead of us. It is a relief to know I am not the only one feeling the absence of a real grocery store in our neighborhood.

Reaching this level of visibility exhausted me but seeing the community rally around this space proves the need is real. I am taking a moment to breathe before we push forward toward the next hurdle.

I have been spending my evenings emailing the property managers at Arboretum Place to see if they are even considering a grocer for that empty space. It is exhausting work with very little to show for it yet but the silence from their side only strengthens my resolve to keep pushing.

A full size grocery store is critically needed in the southern portion of the Jamaica Plain neighborhood. A great opportunity for Trader Joe's to fill a need while capitalizing on the new residential buildings being constructed around the Forest Hills MBTA station.
Just today I considered going to TJ’s but decided it was too far. It would be wonderful to have one in walking distance here in JP. It would be my regular grocery store!
Would love to see a grocery store in that space, especially one that pays its employees well and brings all of the other benefits of TJs. I grew up with Trader Joe's as my closest grocery store, but rarely make the shlep (and want to deal with the parking lot) for the Brookline store.
I live just two blocks from the now closed Co-op location. I didn’t like the co-op, and preferred going to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s in Brookline (once a month), but if I had a Trader Joe’s nearby, I’d go there every single week, and would probably skip Whole Foods as well!
I don’t have a car, so getting big loads of groceries (and laundry detergent!) home to Roslindale from the Brookline Trader Joe’s or others is a huge pain. Having one just a bus ride away would be wonderful!
I would make this my primary shopping location!
Would shop here multiple times a week if they ever brought a store to town!

Would love to have you TJs! This space is much bigger than your Back Bay (Bolyston st) location so we hope you will come to Jamaica Plain. Plus with the hundreds of new apartments being built within walking distance you will have many potential customers.
