Tracy is lacking a dedicated bike park. Since 2010, when the City of Tracy surveyed its residents in their recreational wishlist, bike trails/parks was the highest item in the unmet needs (Tracy Parks Masterplan, 2013). Ten years later we are still waiting for the City to fulfill this unmet need.

Many cities have dedicated bike facilities that allow riders to learn the skills needed for recreational ride or competitive events. With BMX entering the Olympics, many cities worldwide are adding bike parks. In Tracy, we believe we also could benefit from a bike park similar to Manteca’s Spreckel’s Bike Park. Please sign this petition if you support Tracy creating a bike park. We don’t want Tracy to be left behind. A bike facility would engage our youth with a safe place to ride their bikes.
