Tracy is lacking a dedicated bike park. Since 2010, when the City of Tracy surveyed its residents in their recreational wishlist, bike trails/parks was the highest item in the unmet needs (Tracy Parks Masterplan, 2013). Ten years later we are still waiting for the City to fulfill this unmet need.

Many cities have dedicated bike facilities that allow riders to learn the skills needed for recreational ride or competitive events. With BMX entering the Olympics, many cities worldwide are adding bike parks. In Tracy, we believe we also could benefit from a bike park similar to Manteca’s Spreckel’s Bike Park. Please sign this petition if you support Tracy creating a bike park. We don’t want Tracy to be left behind. A bike facility would engage our youth with a safe place to ride their bikes.

Reaching two hundred and fifty signatures serves as a clear reminder that our neighbors are eager for a dedicated space to ride. This level of interest validates the findings in the city masterplan and shows that our community remains committed to this goal.

The stories shared in the comments reveal just how many families in our town are looking for a safe and dedicated space for their children to ride. I have begun reaching out to local planning offices to ensure they understand that this request is not just a passing interest but an established community priority.

This is a great idea!! I would love to see a natural bike park with less concrete that could be dangerous and a more pourous surface to allow water through. Let's take care of our Earth while we take care of our kids!!

Best thing in world for kids and adults to do. We've been racing, riding bikes for more than 10 years. Teaches kids how to win and be humble and lose with gratitude. Everyone works together to help each other not against

The city of Tracy needs a bike facility to ensure riders of all ages have a place to practice their riding skills in a safe space away from cars. If a bike park is built in Tracy, the cycling community will be safer, more skilled, and riders will have a place to be healthy and enjoy the outdoors.

I urge the city of Tracy to support a pump track and other parks and trails that allow our youth to engage in more outdoor activities without having to go to a neighboring city

I 100% agree. Tracy definitely is in need of a bike park or even a new skatepark that bikes can also use. Ive personally been riding bmx for over 20 years now and have been a Tracy resident my entire life.

I'm a female that was on BMX tracks at a young age racing and loved every bit of it! We moved to tracy when I was in fifth grade and houses weren't built yet and we would build our own tracks out there everyone in the neighborhood would be there helping and riding. So this track is very long over due. It don't matter girl or boy, bikes or BMX don't discriminate!
