Tracy Verma Bio:

Ananda Ashram has been my spiritual home for 43 years. Rev. Kim Lesley and I hope to become Board Members to secure the ashram’s bright future. I envision recruiting/ engaging new or lapsed members/supporters, especially Roop’s worldwide network of students and my yoga students. I gained Yoga Teacher certification from Swami Naranda in 1989. I teach at Friends of Recovery, Hartwick College and my home studio, encompassing youths to seniors. As organizer/ fundraiser, I worked with India Darshan to secure state grants, collaborate with diverse community members and bring ashram teachers to present/perform at local colleges. As an engineer I did an energy audit of the ashram. I assisted Roop to create and maintain the E-W School of Music. I manage apartments, run a home business. I’m Assistant Treasurer of Oneonta’s Unitarian Church. I’m steeped in yogic lifestyle, established from 6+ years of attending Guruji’s satsangs while living at Ananda.

Tracy has done so much for this community over the years. We really need someone with her engineering background and management skills on the board right now.
