Dr. Tracy Davis has dedicated over 30 years to the field of student affairs and higher education. During his career, he has conducted research, shared his findings, and fostered the growth of emerging professionals. His body of work includes empirical studies published in refereed journals, book chapters, and four influential books co-authored or edited with mentees and/or senior colleagues, testifying to to his long standing collaborative practices: Gender-Aware Practices: Intersectional Approaches to Applying Masculinities in Student Affairs (2018, with D. Chase Catalano and Rachel Wagner), Advancing Social Justice: Tools, Pedagogies, and Strategies to Transform Your Campus (2013, with Laura M. Harrison), Masculinities in Higher Education: Theoretical and Practical Considerations (2011, with Jason Laker), and Developing Social Justice Allies (2004, with Robert Reason, Ellen Broido, and Nancy J. Evans). Tracy has also served on the Executive Council for College Student Educators International (ACPA), the ACPA Commission on Professional Preparation Directorate, the Coalition on Men and Masculinities as and as an ACPA Senior Scholar. He is a frequent presenter at professional conferences and provides consultation to colleges and universities on men's development and social justice issues.

During his time at Western Illinois University, Tracy has been a remarkable mentor to many graduate students, emerging and seasoned professionals, and higher education and students affairs emerging and senior scholars. Tracy’s humility and dedication to services are hallmarks of his indelible career.
