Disappointed in depreciation of 2020 Supra purchased in 2/2020 and now you have a lot more horsepower in 2021

I believe those who supported Toyota buy buying the first model year should not see their investment plummet in value after 1 year because Toyota introduced a new engine in the 2021 model Supra. As compensation to its loyal 2020 Supra owners, Toyota should allow all its 2020 Supra buyers to flash their ECU using a flash tune identified by Toyota and cover this under warranty.

The worse part about this, was the fact that I p,icked up my car from the dealership on February 11th, and within a week I am getting a message from friends saying that Toyota "screwed us".

It is absolutely ridiculous that Toyota shuns the first year of their Supra launch. It is shameful. With only 1 year production of Supra's with the B58C, the aftermarket will almost exclusively support the 2021+ models using the B58D engine because there will be 6+ years worth of them. Who are they going to sell parts to - 1 year worth of potential buyers or 5-6 years worth of potential buyers? Toyota basically said they do not care about the first people to support this platform.

Also, super disappointed that Toyota is doing this and not even offering a tune upgrade or other consideration. I was also excited and put down my deposit in Feb at the Toyota dealership to be one of the first to have a Launch Edition. I have #1250. I agree that it’s pathetic that Toyota is not even a year from launch they are doing this and making my “special special edition”(told by Toyota when talking about the Launch Edition) which which will now will be essentially another car on the road. I await Toyota's response to make it right.

Honestly might work out in your favor, in 20-30 years the OG 2020 Supra might be worth more than the refreshed model. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

W022270. LE#1062 I want the 2021 treatment done to my Launch Edition I just bought, I think that’s fair. Recall them for new motors, chassis upgrades, etc. Take the loss, otherwise you have stained the Supra name. This is ridiculous. I’ve been a Toyota fanboy all my life. I wanted a Supra since my moms 1st gen and my dads 2nd gen. I got past the BMW collaboration. Finally I get one, and this is the treatment the enthusiasts get? Bad form Toyota.

Thank you all for your support , Please remember to share the link , and get everyone to sign our petition. Toyota will make this fair. It’s a great company that cares about their owners we just gotta make sure they hear our concern.

I wouldn’t have bought the car if Toyota was going to do this under our noses

Super disappointed that Toyota is doing this and not even offering a tune upgrade. I was so excited and called every dealership within 100 miles(that wasn’t price gouging) to find and be one of the first to have a Launch Edition. I finally found one and I have #755. I’ll tell you that it’s pathetic that Toyota is not even a year from launch they are doing this and making my “special special edition”(told you ya by Toyota when talking about the Launch Edition) essentially another car on the road. Will not be giving Toyota my future business

It’s outrageous that in less than a year there are such significant changes to the car. It’s unfair for us who supported the car from the very beginning.
