These pesticides also find their way to our roadsides and where we pick berries, our wildlife feed, and sensitive water ways flow. Tightening these laws protects us all including our amazing flora and fauna!

As somebody who has a Ph.D. in biological sciences and have taught courses on environmental toxicology, I see no justification to expose our children, and the children of our neighbours, and all people and animals living downwind and downstream from our lawns, to the toxic substances applied solely for our vanity - to have our lawn greener than that of our neighbours. Strengthen the pesticide regulations now!

The health of all creatures, including humans, must be the priority ahead of bright, green lawns and weed-free gardens. Please provide strength and guidance in our provincial regulations.

Pesticides are linked to cancer. Municipalities in Nl have a ban on pesticides for lawns (eg. Glenburnie-Birchy Head- Shoal Brook). They have not received one complaint since in place by a By-Law (8 years ago). NL should follow...

Glyphosate (Round-up) Is heavily used in this province and has now been listed as a carcinogen. This and many other toxic pesticides have no place in our environment and cause serious health effects.

Weeds are healthy and pretty. Pesticides and herbicides cause cancer and untold health problems to humans and pets, then nature fights back with mega weeds. Are the profits of chemical companies more important than our health?

I can't believe that we are still having this conversation after all the research points to the harmful effects of these pesticides. I have seen some wonderful gardens and lawns this summer; all without the use of pesticides!
