Apparently the mayor will not allow me to organise a balloon release at the town hall to raise money to help the bereaved parents of Warrington as part of my campaign. The town hall is a public building and I do not think it is fair that I (and hundreds of other bereaved parents in Warrington)pay for the upkeep of the building yet we are denied access. I have been chasing them for months for a response and when I was finally in a position where they could not ignore my request they refused me immediately. They did not even ask about where the money will go (incidentally all money raised is going directly to help people in WARRINGTON)
The mayor chooses 6 charities to support during his term (which I appreciate) and so does not feel he needs to support LAL or my campaign. I dont need his support, I just need his permission to use the building, he does not even have to attend the event.
Please sign this petition to show the mayor (and the council) that you believe a balloon release SHOULD be held at the town hall. It is for a very good cause which will benefit our community, I think everyone is touched in some way by pregnancy and infant loss, and we need better support services in place. We need a day to raise money and awareness in Warrington os people know where to go to get the support they need at an awful time in their life.
Ridiculous. Let them hold the event. It is a public space and this is for grieving parents who deserve some support.

it is for such a good cause what is the problem with letting a few balloons go. the mayor needs to stop being so difficult and help out the community for once.
