I moved to Staunton in September and want to become acquainted with my Congressman, to have him personally respond to the questions and concerns of the constituents he represents.

Come to the Shenandoah Valley and meet the people you are supposed to represent. You need to hear our voices and see our faces, because your actions are not in line with what we expect of someone who represents us in Washington.

Is the Congressman afraid of the people he purports to represent?

What exactly DOES being a representative mean to you any more? All your funding is from external, corporate groups and you don't meet with or talk to your constituents. Have you just given up and accepted "pay to play" and figure buying the far right party line will just get you more cash? This is your chance to prove otherwise.

I am a Lynchburg resident. It's shameful that we, your constituents, have to petition you to have a public town hall meeting.

We need to hear more about your support of Trump's actions. You need to hear how your constituents view you and your actions, most especially with Ethics, NSA, and Healthcare Reform.

I remain concerned about Steve Bannon on the principles committee. I am also concerned about changes to Medicare. Please come talk with and represent us all.

Congressman Goodlatte, Certainly would like to be able to make eye contact and ask your advice about problems in our neighborhood.

End your support of the travel ban and Trump's other extremist visions now.

Yes, we have a few questions...

You want our votes? You need to listen to our concerns, and not have them "noted" by your underlings to be "passed on" to you. You represent us. You should know what WE want.

You've broken your promise and become a career politician. Time to go!

You represent all of us, not just the hard right wingers that vote in the primary. If you cannot represent all of us, then you need to go.

It is time for Goodlatte to commit to meeting with constituents. It has been too long, and he to too far out of touch to accurately represent our needs.

It is due time for a public forum, Congressman Goodlatte. Many of your constituents, me included, want to hear your views on the myriad issues in our state and country, given this uncertain time in our history. Please set a date for this forum soon. Thank you.
