You owe it to your constituents to make yourself available to hear their concerns.

You need to stand before your constituents and answer questions.

Congressman Goodlatte, There is bipartisan unrest in your district due to the President's recent actions and executive orders. It is imperitive that you take the time to come talk with your constituents face to face, hear our questions and provide honest answers. Please consider attending your own open house instead of sending a staffer. Please ensure you're committed to hearing from the people you serve.

My name is B. Shapiro and I am a constituent from Staunton. I would like to urge Congressman Goodlatte to organize and attend a public town hall meeting by April 8th. The people he represents would value the opportunity to voice our concerns and hear from our representative. Thank you.

A face-to-face meeting with the chance to ask questions and express our opinions is the very least we are owed as Congressman Goodlatte's constitutents.

Stop hiding from the citizens of Virginia. Cowards usually hide their faces and so far you are a coward.

This is the very minimum he owes to his constituents.

We have a lot to say and we need you to be present to listen. Americans are fed up and I'm not hearing a lot of good comments about you. I hope you will show up and change that perception.

It is my strong belief that our elected representatives have a responsibility to personally listen to their constituents, especially in times of great unrest. Where are you, Bob? And why are you afraid of those you represent?

I can only assume Bob Goodlatte has a lot to hide and be ashamed of. Otherwise he would have no problem holding a town hall meeting. If I were him, I would probably want to hide.

We request an in person townhall meeting.

Simply appalling that Mr. Goodlatte has not attended a town hall meeting with his constituents since August of 2013. He should have regularly scheduled town hall meetings attended by him in Roanoke, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg.

Please schedule a Roanoke town hall meeting and personally attend. Schedule the meetings so working people can attend (eventing hours). Listen to your constituents!

I'm looking to follow up on this issue for a story in The News & Advance. I'd like to talk to someone from Lynchburg or Amherst. Could someone from one of these localities contact me, please? Thank you. Alex Rohr The News & Advance [email protected]
