We should not be forced into paying double the amount as stated, when this was proposed, plus double the interest

Due to the high cost of the sewers, we would be forced to sell our home.

I am 100% opposed to the sewer system being mandated. This should be put up to a vote by the property owners of the town.

I’m a hard working American citizen and resident of Coventry, this is not nazi Germany, you can’t force people to do something they don’t want to, or take away their hard earned money, that’s called extortion, which is illegal, you should be sued for extortion. I refuse to be treated in such and indignant way and to be oppressed by the elected officials in office, how dare you, how would you like it if someone was doing the same thing to you?

We want no sewers! If so, where is the grant money given to others? Is anyone looking for grant money to off set the cost?

This is a complete typical RI political laced issue. Leave it all alone. Who is getting paid off and paid out to see this happen? Leave it to the democrats to see fit to spend everyone's money for them. Part of a larger issue though - force everyone into common housing. Force everyone to give up their property.

We taxed to the heavens already. People just can't afford this right now.

I think that the sewers are too much of a financial burden on the people in Coventry. This should have had a vote to get the town in this much debt.

Simply can't afford the tie-in. Who's making money on this project?

This is an outrage. House, car, fire and existing sewer assessment taxes are already extremely high. Home owners will not stand for this ridiculous proposal of a new assessment tax that for many could be more money than they make in a year!
