This is not good location for such a treatment facility in our community. Safety reasons is #1 for: our kids and family in this subdivision, and the value of our homes is a big deal, for everyone in this community. Plus it will bring down not just value of our homes, but security and peace of our family and lifestyle in this neighborhood. We asking to reconsider of this location for this center.

I AM CERTAIN THAT THIS FACILITY , AND ITS PROXIMITY TO OUR CREST MOUNTAIN RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY WILL BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE RESIDENTS -- IT WILL SURELY DIMINISH THE QUALITY OF LIFE, SENSE OF SAFETY, AND PROPERTY VALUES - FOR THE TOWN OF WOODFIN THE CONSEQUENCES WILL INEVITABLY BE A PROPERTY TAX REVENUE REDUCTION AS REAL ESTATE VALUES DECREASE, COMMUNITY MEMBERS SELL THIER HOMES, AND NEW RESIDENTIAL HOUSING CONSTRUCTION CEASES

I'm not against the cause .However , against the location
With that said , I'm for the protection , integrity and future value of the neighborhood .

We do not a substance abuse center where we live - safety reasons plus it will bring down the value of our homes

Along with my compassion for those who need assistance dealing with substance abuse and addictions, I also do not feel as though my neighborhood is the appropriate location for such a treatment facility. Additionally, there are no guarantees regarding any possible growth/expansion of the original CVRC, that might include clients of a greater risk to our safety.

Having worked with people needing drug counseling in my professional experience, I do have sympathy for them and understand the critical need for their treatment. But I also know about the unpredictability of results and outcomes of those being treated. That’s why the location of a treatment center next door to my residence clearly diminishes my security and peace of mind in my own home.

Though I support drug treatment centers, if this one opens on Crest Mountain adjacent to our homes, on that day our homes’ values and even worse, the opportunities to sell our homes, would significantly decline.
