Dear Dean Feldman:

We, Touro College of Pharmacy’s Class of 2013, are petitioning for recognition as “Doctors of Pharmacy” during our commencement ceremony.  Over the course of the last four years, we have spent countless hours diligently working towards the attainment of our degrees and we believe that the Class of 2013 has been extremely influential and persistent in building a prestigious name for Touro College of Pharmacy, New York.  From our involvement within the community to establishing new chapters of professional student organizations, we have done everything in our power to ensure proper recognition of our school/program. As a new program, it was necessary for the students to adapt to many changes and make the improvements necessary to ensure success that inevitably carries over to the College, rather than that of any individual student. 

In light of our many contributions, we would appreciate full recognition for our efforts.  We respectfully ask to be addressed by the official title of “Doctor,” which our degree confers, while amongst our friends, colleagues, and families, as we accept our degrees on May the 23rd of 2013.
