chickens are a great way to pass time with. they are not agressive and arre friendly. They should be allowed to keep in Toronto. Backyard chicken eggs are organic and healthy as well.

Backyard chickens were permitted in Toronto when I was a boy - 1930's. They should be permitted today.
Oh, and beehives too. Let's bring a little natural life back into this cement and asphalt environment.

Chickens are no more noisy or dirty than cats and dogs; actually, much cleaner than the roaming cats that use my backyard as their TOILET. And please, lets not get bureaucratic and start charging us licencing fees for this. Lets start making Toronto a little more 'user friendly'.

I'm not sure that I would do this - however, i would support anyone wishing to keep backyard chickens - and would assist them when needed. I think it is a terrific concept - with only a few downsides ie: Hungry Hawks and Coyotes.
