See the bike lane on Bartlett avenue crowbarred in against neighbourhood and public school wishes. Poor planning and arrogant city staff and councilors (looking at you Bailao) help support a small radical interest group at the expense of the health and wellbeing of the city and its citizens that actually pay the taxes and fees that keep it up. Bikes are not licensed and do not pay fees yet are having a weirdly overwhelming influence on street use and traffic patterns.

Please do not put bike lanes on major arterial roads. Before amalgamation bike lanes were not allowed. On major roads.

Remove the bike lanes from TTC routes especially. AIso, I see more cyclists on the sidewalks than on the bike lanes. They need to be licensed so that you can report them.

Bike lanes on major streets are dangerous. They place cyclists in harm’s way and vehicles avoiding cyclists can cause accidents and injuries.

I both drive and cycle. I’m all for sensible bike lanes, but the need to put them on every major road is ridiculous. Cycling isn’t a viable option for many, especially during the winter months. So why is infrastructure designed so heavily in favour of cyclists?

I do not support bike lanes on our major streets. The congestion is hampering emergency vehicles, and good traffic flow is a must for the city to prosper. The plan to extend Bloor St West to Kipling is ridiculous. Just last week, it took 20 minutes from Prince Edward to South Kingsway (major route to reach the Gardiner), can’t image when it’s down to one lane in each direction! Enough pandering to a small bike lobby with a very loud voice. Move bike lanes from our major streets to secondary roads.

we now have one lane north one lane lane south on major busy streets like young street and parking !! this is insane And totally irresponsible we have seen emergency vehicles unable to get anywhere the impact on shops restaurants on the streets is intolerable they have to go we cannot have the majority of people impacted by minority of people

People will use side streets to get around the traffic created making for a dangerous situation…especially since we don’t have sidewalks.

Get rid of ALL bike lanes. There are many, many trails and side streets for the bike riders. Also it seemed there was a priority for snow cleaning the bike lanes this past winter. The roads and sidewalks need to be cleared first as they are essential for the majority of individuals in all areas or Toronto.

As an example, the dedicated bike lanes on Scarlett Rd, starting at St. Clair rarely have many people on bikes and traffic was reduced to one lane either way to make accommodation for them. With the construction there now in that area and set to continue once the bridge is rebuilt, it is getting very backed up during high traffic times.
