My name is Elizabeth Book. I am a Topfree Women\'s rights activist/protestor who has been protesting the ordinances and state statutes of the state of Florida that have criminalized the American womens\' breasts.
The U.N. has offered it\'s sanctions to women who stand for women\'s rights issues on International Women\'s Day. We will ask them for this now.
Dear Sirs and Madames of the United Nations,
In 1943 you began offering your sanctions to the women of the world who chose to speak up for women and women\'s rights issues on International Women\'s Day.
At this time, women have won the right to protest topless in opposition to laws that criminalize our breasts, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Fifth and Seventh District Appellate Courts of the state of Florida have ruled in favor of our right to protest in this manner.
The city of Daytona Beach now seeks to maneuver a new ordinance against women that would take away this hard won Constitutional protection. We are asking you for the protection of your sanctions in demanding that no arrests be made during the upcoming March 8th, 2008, International Women\'s Day Topfree Stand protest.
your consideration of this issue and your protection during the upcoming protest would be greatly appreciated.
The city is trying to bypass court rulings with new ordinances so we need to put more pressure on the officials involved. Copy the link to this petition and email it directly to the Daytona Beach City Commissioner. We must ensure they realize that people are watching these attempts to strip away our rights.

We just hit a major threshold in our fight against these restrictive ordinances. Post this link on Facebook right now to keep the pressure on our local officials.

This is a basic human right. If a man can walk around without a shirt why cant a woman? Pure double standard.
