It is time for true respect and to properly acknowledge the contributions made by Toots to the development and growth of reggae music. Toots has kept reggae alive through his roots movement - getting out and sharing the power of reggae to audiences all over the world! I discovered his music at 16 while riding buses on the back streets of India when backpacking through India. A cassette that played not stop on my Walkman as I toured around. Here I am 55 years old - and reading of Toots passing and am still at a loss for words. More than 20 shows over the years - attended all over the world - just to be a part of his positive vibrations, energy and grace. Big Up to Toots!!! He needs to be recognized and inducted for all he has done to bring reggae music and love throughout the world
