I, Joshua Cormier propose this petition to put a stop to the unprovoked police violence and police brutality. I just watched a video of a guy trying to get out of his car, that flipped over, and was shot in the neck. This guy did not deserve to be shot and could possibly be paralyzed. The officer arrived at the scene of the accident and with no hesitation, shot the driver while trying to crawl out of the car. The local district attorney viewed it as unjustified but not criminal. As a human being, I do not want to be shot like I was a deer in the woods. If an officer walks up to a person and shoots you, without being provoked, it is a criminal act. We have seen this too often with young people; black and white. This is not how police officers should do their jobs. It is all about the sloagn "Protect and Serve" not about "Kill Anyone You Want." I do not want my children to go off on their own and get shot by cops because they don't want to be physically harassed. Therefore I propose this bill to Louisiana's representatives first. If a police officer arrives to a scene of any kind and then shoots and/or kills an unarmed, unprovoking citizen, CRIMINAL CHARGES SHOULD BE FILED AUTOMATICALLY. I don't want to hear about this leave of absence with pay. Personally I think that is a bunch of b.s. It's too much man.....it's too much
