My name is Sam Mills, and like a lot of runners, I have been greatly influenced by Tommy Rivs. Tommy was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer called NK T Cell Lymphoma. From October 10th to the 11th I am competing in a 24-Hour ultra marathon, and will be using the opportunity to raise funds for his treatments. The donation amount is per mile run (a $ donation will be $ per mile run during the event, so 50 miles with a $1 donation is a $50 donation). Everyone will be contacted the day after the event is finished, and will have 7 days to donate the money (link to the GoFundMe can be found here: gf.me/u/yts38g). In the event of Tommy’s passing, the money will go to his wife and daughters. If you don’t know much about Tommy, I suggest looking him up; not only is he an incredible athlete, but he’s a truly amazing person as well.
