Dear Minnesota Vikings Organization, My connection with Tommy Kramer spans over four decades, beginning when I first met him as a child during the San Antonio, Texas Fiesta Parade. Despite the sparse crowd that day, my firefighter brother Robert de la Luz and I had the privilege of spending time with Tommy – a moment etched permanently in my memory. As a fellow San Antonio native and Roosevelt High School alumnus, I share more than just geographical roots with Tommy. He inspired my own football journey, influencing me to try out as a quarterback. In honor of his impact, I proudly wore jersey number 9, a number that also coincidentally matched my birth month. My family's Vikings fandom predated Tommy's arrival, making his draft to the team feel like a destined connection. Recently, I was surprised to discover that Tommy is not yet in the Vikings Ring of Honor. This oversight compels me to take action and raise awareness within the San Antonio community about his remarkable contributions. I urgently request the Minnesota Vikings consider inducting Tommy into the Ring of Honor while he is still able to fully appreciate this recognition. Throughout his career and beyond, Tommy has exemplified extraordinary character. Even while battling illness, he continues to demonstrate remarkable strength, asking fans not to pity him but to remain positive. Tommy's legacy extends far beyond football. His commitment to community service, charitable work, and genuine connection with fans sets him apart. From San Antonio to Minnesota, he has consistently given back, embodying the true spirit of a sports hero. I firmly believe Tommy Kramer deserves this honor for his football achievements, community contributions, and the inspiration he has provided to countless fans like myself. I am prepared to support this effort in any way possible and eagerly await your response. Strength and Honor, Roman de la Luz [email protected] 210-862-1774

Tommy deserves to be in the Vikings Ring of Honor, I’ll never forget when he came in the game in the 2nd half down 27-0, to lead the Vikings to a 28-27 win culminating with the Hail Mary pass to Ahmad Rashad!
