We the undersigned are petitioning the government to stop Caz Telfer from having days out to visit her family, and to go on outings after serving only 6 years of her 18 year sentance. For the manslaughter of an innocent man, Tommy West and his 7 year old daughter Kimberley. Also the attempted manslaughter of Tommy's 9 year old son who Tommy was able to rescue from a burning house, which Telfer set alight while they were sleeping. She made no attempt to rescue them or help the fire fighters to Tommy's and Kimberley's true location in the house. She diverted the fireman to the back of the house, knowing full well Tommy and Kimberley were trapped in the front bedroom. She has never shown remorse for what she has done. And it is the family that are serving the life sentance not her. And feel that there is no justice what so ever, if she is able to visit her family after only six years, where Tommy and Kimberley's family have only a grave to visit. They are the innocent victims, but yet there life was cruelly taken away from them. She should serve the whole 18 year sentence, before she is ever considered to be let out into society. The family believe she should have been sentenced for murder and life to mean life.

Updates

February 13, 2009

I have finalized the formal letter and sent it to the Ministry of Justice today to formally protest these outings. We are currently waiting for a response regarding the oversight of these release decisions.

The scale of this response confirms the need for immediate action regarding current sentencing practices. I am finalizing a formal letter to the Ministry of Justice to demand a review of these release conditions based on the gravity of the offenses committed.

How can she get to go on days out when that poor family will never see their loved ones again? Disgusting.

SHE SHOULD NEVER BE FREE AGAIN. NO REMORSE AT ALL AND SHE GETS TRIPS OUT? THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN

Think of what she did to those kids. Setting a house on fire is pure evil. She needs to stay locked up period.

Heartbreaking for the family left behind. She deserves nothing but the full time behind bars.
