Keegan Murray's:  Petition to Save Lives  If you could save 2,000 lives a day wouldn’t you? In the US alone, over 433,000 Americans die each year from smoke inhalation. Almost 50,000 Americans are killed each year from second hand smoke. Many of them were never given the choice to breathe fresh air or others second hand smoke. Somebody has to lead the way! As Americans we should be the first ones to stop it. Over 18% of all deaths worldwide are from tobacco. That is almost 1 in 5.   Saving lives should be more important to our country than making billions of dollars through the sale of tobacco products. More money is spent on public healthcare due to tobacco use than is made off the high taxes on cigarettes. Many feel we need to petition for more health and education to help people quit and for prevention, but the money is collected, the states are not properly using it. Illegality will save lives and prevent many from becoming addicted. It will be more difficult to buy and to smoke publicly. This will help the secondhand smokers by minimizing smoking in public. You can help bring about a healthier country and save hundreds of thousands of lives every year by signing this petition.  I hope this brings change, it always starts somewhere!! Information researched and collected for petition by Keegan Murray of Manhasset, NY in hopes of saving lives and changing the law to lower death and cancer rates.

ive been reading through all the stories people are posting and it just reminds me how many families are hurting because of these products. it feels like we are finally starting to have a real conversation about what matters more than profit.

We would save billions of lives, not just Millions. And we would also save the lives of every child exposed to parents who smoke
