I am so tired of not being able to sit on my balcony due to smokers. I am also very tired of picking cigarette butts out of my plants! I feel like I deserve the right to fresh air! I don't feel that it's fair that I have to suffer due to someone else's habit! Also what happened to the rules about not smoking within 50 ft of an exit? All the shops on base are required to have a smoke pit away from the entrance/exit. Why don't we provide the same in the towers?

I have really bad headaches and allergies when I'm around smoke. You make me live here in this tower, it should be smoke free

My family also has allergies. If you want to smoke do it 50 feet away or in your home with the windows shut. Other people shouldn't have to smell it especially my children.

Kinser Tower 847 Unit 903. Thankfully I currently don't deal with a situation like this, but I would be horrified to have to breath in second hand smoke within my own home due to the poor ventilation systems we have especially since I am expecting our first child. The rules on the issue need to be made straight forward and not left up to interpretation as they are now.

I haven't had an issue with this but if I did I would literally be sick. People smoking around me or it getting into my living space makes me soooo sick, I can't breath, my eyes swell up and I vomit. I would hope people would be more respectful but that is just clearly not the case.

I am willing signing this petition to enforce the rule that prohibits smoking within and on patios/balconies of military housing. I live on the 6th floor of Kinser towers and often like to enjoy my evening on my patio watching the beauty of Okinawa. Lately it has been disturbed by hazardous cigarette smoke. My families health should not be put in jeopardy due to somones addiction and habit to a cancer causing product. Military housing to my knowledge takes great steps as to keeping families safe in attempting to prevent and control mold so we are not subject to the mold toxins but it seems that on Camp Kinser little to none is done to keep families safe from the toxins of cigarettes. Please take action in enforcing that smoking in home units as well has patio/balcony is prohibited. Thank you!

I would like to see this enforced by workers, too. It's terrible, especially with the current lengthy fire system upgrades, to walk out the door and they're on a smoke break 10 ft from the door.
