Michael Muhney's performance as Adam Newman has been nothing short of amazing. I've loved every minute of it and have had very little to criticize. He is an amazing actor, one many will recognize in the future as the best and I am shocked to learn of his firing. It took be my surprise, completely knocked the wind out of me and I haven't the heart or energy to watch #YR anymore. When he goes, so will I. He was the reason I use my DVR to record YR, he was the reason (him and Melissa Claire Egan) I watched the show live and now he's gone?!?! I feel like crying. The only good thing about this is...it gives me permission to let the show go. I want him back, I love CHADAM (Chelsea and Adam) and there isn't anyone like Michael Muhney's Adam. Why is this happening?

I am angry to learn that your doing this to Adams character!!! Michael is amazing as Adam, why would you do this especially when he & Chelsea have just got back together? C'mon!!! After all the deaths & changes we have had to undergo, WHY would you do this? I feel so disgusted about it that I don't want to watch anymore if this is going to be how things go! Very upset in St. Louis, MO!!! I have watched since I was a teenager, when the show first started & I am a loyal fan of the show. I just don't agree with some of the latest changes going on & honestly feel that your not considering the fans at all!!!

this is beyond ridiculous. Michael is the most talented actor on the show. Releasing him is an insult to viewers. Shame on CBS. I will not be watching if he goes and I'm pretty sure that many more feel exactly the same way.

I'm sitting here in shock, my favorite all-time soap actor & character. I love him. There's no reason in the world for this. I just got an autographed picture of him. It was given to me as a gift by NATAS trustees who know how much Michael Muhney means to me. 40 years of watching Y&R gone to hell. As a viewer, I feel violated. MM is the BEST.

He is the best actor on Y&R and my favorite. I have watched the show since it started and cannot believe what the writers and producers are doing to my show. I guess they really are trying to kill soaps.

Please keep Michael Muhney on the Y&R. He is the one and only Adam. He is my reason for watching and once he is gone you will have lost another viewer of 30+ years.
