I honestly never thought this would reach one hundred signatures when I first sat down to write it out. It is truly humbling to see so many of you care about the history of Trinity in the same way that I do.

I honestly never thought this would reach one thousand signatures when I first started it. It is entirely thanks to your passion that this has grown into something the university cannot ignore.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about this as much as I do. If you can get a few more people to look at this page today then we might actually reach our first hundred signatures.

I agree that an educational institution should not look at its identity, heritage and community in terms of marketing and advertising- it's is, obviously, much more than this. However I also understand the need to have a commercial approach to building a recognisable global name that represents this heritage well while increasing the attendance of foreign students. This helps fund future research and grants. Additionally, getting a balance right between business and academia in joint ventures also helps progress important research and innovation. It seems to me that this is an issue that should be reflected on in a deeper, wider capacity, with a more complex and nuanced initiative which will addresses both sides effectively. The 'pause' is a good start.

LEAVE IT ALONE. Some things arent meant to be rebranded or messed with just to chase trends.

You should probably create a campaign for this on here http://paychange.sayroom.com/ too -- it will increase effectiveness of this campaign. I would love to help

Don't ban smoking - just leave the smoking area as it is - next to the gas tanks. Now there's real freedom of choice: -)

Keep the name and the crest exactly how they are. It is the history of Trinity and changing things for marketing makes zero sense.

Also, don't ban smoking. That'd be terrible
